But DAMN that is one minty 240. Interior looked fresh off the boat. Clearly garage kept.

There is something inherently wonderful abut a well kept machine, regardless of how sexy it was to start with.

What do you mean you don't like them!? This and a W123 Merc are some of the toughest, most reliable cars ever made. Plus its maybe the best dog wagon ever.

I dislike these. I HATE HATE HATE w123s.

Were you beaten as a child?

No. These and the W123 are basic slow boxes. I like my cars to have 1) a trunk, 2) buttons to push and toys to play with, C) something resembling power, and 6) comfort.

My 300d turbo is very comfortable, has a three body trunk, the turbo models have good torque and I guess my center console has some buttons. The turbos are excellent cruisers.

doesn't matter, I still hate it.

how did this generation handle rust? not so sure if/when the galvanizing process was perfected in sweden. i always cringe just a little bit when i see an otherwise pristine older car out in the snow. not that i'm saying it should not be driven. but if its made it this long without the cancer, it'd be a shame to see it lost to our road ice clearing methods.
